When specialist sports manufacturer Endura refurbished its premises in Livingston it needed a heavy-duty goods lift to move stock from its ground floor production area to offices and salesroom above. Glasgow based Project Management & Construction Ltd, which was in charge of the £1.5m venture, installed a movemanSKG Titan.
Established over six years ago, Project Management & Construction undertakes new builds and refurbishments for a wide variety of clients in the commercial and industrial sectors. They are one of Scotland’s leading contractors, bringing together a wealth of talent and expertise from across the construction industry.
Jamie Russell, Quantity Surveyor at the firm, headed up the commercial side of the Endura project: “Located in the entrance area, movemanSKG’s two stop Titan allows our client’s employees to work safely without sustaining strain injuries through heavy lifting. What struck me as excellent was the speed and efficiency of movemanSKG’s installation team. They worked around us to get the unit fitted and commissioned, minimising disruption to the rest of the site, which was extremely busy at times due to the tight time schedule.”
Endura’s Titan goods lift travels 3.6m between the two floors and carries up to 1000kg. It has a generous 1200mm wide x 2100mm long platform, enabling it to lift large / awkwardly shaped items or palletised loads with an accompanying operator.
“Feedback from Endura has been positive,” continued Russell. “Titan operates reliably and is essential to the normal day to day running of the facility.”
What makes movemanSKG’s Titan different is that it is freestanding. It requires no wall or supporting structure. It fits easily between existing floors to utilise space and can be installed in just five days.
Titan is made of reinforced heavy-duty steel panels, which provide exceptional strength and stability. It has a range of options, such as different entry configurations and door types, and is suitable for a wide range of applications.
