Platform Lift
Prestige is a free standing platform lift that requires no wall or supporting structure. This keeps building work to a minimum and reduces installation time. Prestige lifts loads of 400kg up to 9 metres (Prestige A401 13 metres) and has a spacious platform, which accommodates a wheelchair user plus a carer.
Prestige is part of our platform lifts range, and extremely popular with architects and building contractors. It is available in a variety of materials and colours, and customers can specify glazing in the shaft and doors. This makes Prestige perfect for public venues, such as retail outlets, restaurants, and exhibition centres.
Prestige is one of the few platform lifts to have LANTAC (Local Authority National Type Approval Confederation) approval. This means it complies with all building regulations and eliminates the need for excessive consultation with local authorities during the planning process. Click here to see the LANTAC certificate.
Prestige A401 - Full Shaft Glazing
Prestige uses a traditional screw system to raise and lower the platform. A belt driven version is also available, Prestige A401. Belt drive allows the lift’s self-supporting enclosure to be glass on all four sides. The carriage control panel can be brass, stainless steel, or hardwoods like oak or mahogany.
Platform Lifts - An Ideal Access Solution
Prestige’s controlled acceleration and deceleration eliminate jolting at landings, and the platform lift incorporates all electrical equipment. This removes the needs for a separate machine room or ugly cabinet.
Positioned at a convenient height, Prestige’s tactile illuminated push button controls allow wheelchair users to operate the lift independently. Floor or pit mounted, Prestige features self-closing doors and position indicators on each landing.
As with all our platform lifts, Prestige comes with a twelve-month warranty.
Flexible Options
Prestige A401
Prestige has the option of powered or fire-rated doors, and there is a choice of single, through or adjacent entry configuration. Key isolation and/or operation prevent misuse (e.g. by children in a public venue). Other options include a hands free intercom unit and remote landing controls.
Platform Lifts for the Safety Conscious
Prestige has its own enclosure, which prevents anybody becoming trapped under or falling off the platform. The doors interlock with the drive mechanism, preventing people entering the shaft while the lift is in motion. Prestige features a hand winding system in case of power failure, and a carriage alarm in case of emergency.
