Disabled LiftsThe Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) specifies that service providers, institutions of education, and workplaces must make their premises accessible to the less able. Disabled lifts are an effective, cost-efficient solution. movemanSKG provides high quality, yet affordable disabled lifts. We have over twenty-five years of experience, and our disabled lifts are in use at hundreds of sites all over the UK. A Wide Range of Disabled LiftsWe supply disabled lifts to suit any requirements. Variables include travel distance, power usage, load capacity, style, and finish. Our experienced sales team offers professional advice to make sure disabled lifts are suitable for the application. We assist customers every step of the way, from initial planning through to installation. Disabled Lifts for Public BuildingsDisabled lifts for public buildings must be attractive and blend with their surroundings. We offer disabled lifts that come in a range of colours, materials, and finishes. This makes for swift integration into any given environment. If applicable, our disabled lifts team will even liaise with specialist balustrade suppliers to match fittings to the chosen finish. Versatile Disabled LiftsOur disabled lifts have a wide range of options, enabling us to tailor them to precisely match any requirements. Powered doors (standard on Prestige disabled lifts) improve wheelchair access. Fire doors, which resist intense heat for up to one hour, and cladding are also available. Disabled lifts in public venues are often vulnerable to misuse (children love to play in disabled lifts). We offer a security feature known as a Designated User Control (DUC) switch. The DUC switch moves an idle disabled lift to a mid-landing position. All doors automatically lock, preventing anybody entering the lift. A First Rate ServiceWe strive for customer satisfaction, and work to tight deadlines. We understand the challenges of installing disabled lifts, and offer a professional after-sales service, which keeps disabled lifts in good working order. Brasserie Blanc Opts for Disabled LiftsWe installed two Prestige disabled lifts at Brasserie Blanc’s Cabot Circus branch in Bristol. Brasserie Blanc is a famous chain of restaurants which, as a service provider, has responsibilities under the DDA. Brasserie Blanc’s Cabot Circus restaurant is located in an old Dominican friary, known as Quakers Friars. It comprises a main eatery in what used to be a Georgian Quakers Meeting house, and functions rooms in two separate medieval halls. The disabled lifts allow wheelchair users to access the function rooms’ upper floors. Both disabled lifts at Brasserie Blanc travel three metres between two floors. One is a two-stop unit. The other has an additional sub-level, making it a three-stop unit. Both disabled lifts have a load capacity of 400kg, and are spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair user plus one carer. Thanks to our disabled lifts, Brasserie Blanc complies with the DDA. |
